Founded by Bishop C.N. Rucker in 1959, Greater Holy Temple has long been a historical marker for those in and around the Kansas City Metro area. A great number of pastors, singers, missionaries, choir members, deacons, and musicians have come out of or passed through this church.
Today, Greater Holy Temple, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Willard Lofton, continues to strive to be the portion of the Body of Christ that God has purposed for us to be. We believe in holiness by the Bible, and that the true head of the church is Jesus Christ. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4), who is a gift given to those that believe. We also believe that salvation is completely a work done by God (Ephesians 2:8-10).
Our goal is to be led by the Holy Spirit so that we may please God and accomplish all of the things that He has called for us to do. We welcome you to join us at any of our services at your earliest convenience.
Do to the global pandemic that is COVID-19, we are currently not meeting in person for service. We are broadcasting live sermons and Bible Studies at the normal service times on Greater Holy Temple's FaceBook page.
